Through its “Baking the World a Better Place” campaign, Red Star Yeast began a cause marketing partnership with Stop Hunger Now in 2014 to help end world hunger. A portion of the proceeds from every Red Star Yeast purchase goes toward helping children and families in need across the globe. Red Star Yeast’s goal is to provide more than 200,000 meals annually. The campaign includes a “Bake one. Give one.” recipe sharing challenge for bloggers, Stop Hunger Now logo placement on Red Star Yeast product packaging, joint promotion at the bi-annual Festival of Breads, a recipe e-book and employee meal packaging. Doist and its product brand Todoist ranked by Forbes as the #1 task manager application in the world, partnered with Stop Hunger Now in December 2015 with its #DoMoreGiveMore digital and social media campaign. Todoist asked its social media followers to learn more about Stop Hunger Now and share the campaign message through tweets and Instagram posts. Stop Hunger Now social media followers were challenged to do the same. Doist donated $1 for every share or post that included #DoMoreGiveMore during an entire week.
